    Spain should be 4 up.

Italy still in the dressing room.

Posted.mine at the same time. Spain playing at a pace we can only dream of. Far better game to watch already.

    Italy been so poor though.

We'll face the winners of Italy v Switzerland/Scotland in the quarters after facing Austria/Turkey/Poland in the last 16 - should everything go according to plan.

And yet just before half time it's 0-0.

Italy are poor side in comparison, because people still see Italy as a giant - we should have beaten them in the final, no doubt about it in my mind. There's a reason they haven't qualified for 2 World cups in a row. They'll eventually return but they've been there for the taking. Id say they're better now than a few years ago, got some good youngsters coming through and a good defence. The rest though aren't all that, besides Barella.

That Italian side that won the Euro’s is so suspicious to me.

Useless qualifying for the 2018 World Cup & missed it.

Then went & won Euro 2020/1 out of the blue with a long unbeaten run where they just seemed to get fitter & fitter against the Spanish & us the longer the game went on including extra time.

Then back to been useless again, failing to qualify for the 22 World Cup.

And they look average at best in this tournament.

Yeah Italy are also looking so average yet again. But in fairness, their excuse this time, is that it's a good Spain team.

And Italy also spawned their way to the Euro '20/1 trophy, with extra times and penalties wins.
Yeah I know that's what we (England) want to do, we'd take it if it meant us winning a trophy at last.
But don't give me this garbage that Italy are a great team!.

That old saying is in play here, “the game needs a goal”. I do think there’s a cracking game waiting to happen if one does go in.
