As some of you know my pet Springer Spaniel, Spoffchops, has been training with SY Police for the last few weeks with hopefully him gaining a place in their Drug Squad Division. Yesterday the guy that trained him turned up to watch him sniff and to report back on his progress. The test that they did was a mixture of German Shepherds or Border Collies. They tried sending him on the wrong tracks, and for a time it was working, handlers are now finding out who he is and are starting to kick pedigree chum out of him. Spoffchops replied with a hat-trick of finds and the "dog of the day" award. Thats 19 finds for the season so far. If he fails - I'll hang him from a tree.
