If I've interpreted the summary of the meeting with Don Rowing, the catering is done by Lindleys,I assume they set the prices

but isn't it the clubs responsibility to provide the caterers the facilities?
i don't blame lindleys or whoever it is, the club should make it more appealingly to fans and make it more "pub"ly

Don't blame you. Pop as gone up another 5% to 2.10 a bottle. Might as well bring ya own. Prices like that aren't encouraging people to part with their cash.

Prices are an issue far to expensive especially for pop, never bought pint at Oakwell so dont know prices. but you cant moan about the facilities and how appealing it is to have a pie at a football match.

When the contract runs out BFC should look at doing it all themselves. Sure there would be a huge profit to be made

Can't remember last time I paid for food at Oakwell. Probably back in the west stand when we played Southampton in the league cup many years ago. It's really easy to eat before setting off and wait until I get back. But when it's really warm you want a drink and they charge 2.10 for pop it's stupid. On top of the price rises across the board they also had one less person serving than last season so were down to three now. So you queue longer with less staff to pay more money. Surely we don't have to have them for another four years? Surely we have a get out clause in there if we aren't happy with the service they provide our fans so it can't continue.....

Yeah it's Lindley catering's responsibility for the price and quality of snap and drinks in the ground - my understanding is they pay a fee to the club to run it all and according to Gally's summary of the meeting with Don there is 4 years left to run.

For me it's not only the price but the quality of the stuff as well - I used to look forward to a meat and potato pie (still do for some daft reason) but these days they take until half time to cool down and then just taste of nothing, everything else they sell like sausage rolls, burgers and chips have this sort of indescribable 'rubbery' quality to them. It could be something to do with the fact that all the hot food has been sat in the ovens kept warm since 9 o'clock in the morning.

Yeah I can remember buying a Twix once for 70p in the late 90's - bear in mind that they would have been 30p max in a shop at the time - I actually felt slightly abused.
