Isn't it about time we had a bit of change in the way the leagues are set up? It's been a good 15 years since anything major happened....given that the bottom half of the premier isn't too far ahead of the top of the championship, how about relegating the bottom 10 and promoting the top ten of the championship - with the last few championship promotion places being decided by play-offs?

    a bit too far? (blagger)

A move to at least 4 up 4 down would be a major step forward. nt

The Premier clubs would NEVER vote for 4 up 4 down...........

what they are really wanting is no relegation from the Premiership a la NFL

I reckon when UEFA force them to reduce to 18 or even 16 clubs in the next 2-3 years then we could see a move to no relegation

Well those that would have been voting against 4 up 4 down

will be sick as they will have no way back when they get kicked out.

Other than the top 7 or 8 any of the teams in the Prem could get relegated and I would have thought it would be in their Interests to have as many opportunities to get back as possible should they go down.

    RE: it's up to Sky...

i can't see that happening, if they were under pressure from TV (Sky) to put that in place then I could see it happening but if you watch sky's coverage towards the end of the season they seem to enjoy showing the relegation battle as much as the race for the championship....also the relegation battle is much less predictable than who wins the league. For example, if you put a tenner on someone like Newcastle or Tottenham winning the league next season ya never gonna see that tenner again, if ya put that same tenner on one of those two going down then you never know....unlikely but not impossible.
