....on Saturday night in Angel after thundering back down the train line after THAT brilliant 3-2 win. It was a short conversation for various reasons but he said he had only a few dealings with Barnsley in recent times. He was the one that had Tom Williams on his books. He took him to Barnsley and by all accounts he absolutely hated his time there. Sounds like he felt he had no respect from the fans and didn't like the area so off the back of that he wanted to get down south (mainly to see a page 3 girl he was seeing.) Ended up he took the move to Swansea as it was the best he could get. The only other deal he did was bring in Carl Regan to us. I made him apologise and may I pass on his apologies to any other Barnsley fan that feel they need one! He's not on his books now. The only other thing I managed to get out of him was the way agents deal with a great deal of managers. He said that they don't have agents in the same sense that players do in the main-or he didn't in any case. He said the movement was dependant on a managers "momentum" and he was encouraged to look for a new club for Ritchie in the summer (as is his job). As the "momentum" was good then he said Charlton and Palace were the clubs (and similar, but didn't say who) that were targeted. I came away interested and with an insight but overall thinking "what a soulless game" I know it's how it works, I’m no fool, but he reduced to simply money and contracts, which after speaking to him i realised 99% of the time it is. Thought I'd all let you know.
I hated his time here too. Hart let David Murphy get away because he said he wasnt quick enough and signed this clown. If football was a game about kicking a ball "reight hard like" he would have been England captain. Also had a heart like a pea.
i got talkin to Kevin Betsy's and Steve Parkins agent in Magaluf once told me about the money the club never gave to parkin and i told him to tell betsy to pull his finger out. lol.
