Just heard an interesting question on the wireless asking who is the biggest bottler of all time? I would say Bernard Langer in the Ryder Cup
Frank Bruno. Had shitloads of ability to knock the bejesus out of anyone at the time, but unfortunately didn't have that mental toughness to finish the job when it mattered.
He was far better than 1 world title. Was easily good enough for more. I see you mention Odejayi - but he didn't bottle it against Chelsea now did he ;-)
he got lucky against chelsea the keeper flapped and he headed it onto his shoulder after the keeper took himself out so no he didn't bottle it but that once doesn't make up for the rest of the season and neither does watford before anyone brings that up. I hope to god he improves next season or we ship him out in january.
You can say what you like about his ability - but a bottler he is not Far from it. In fact, he has more courage, guts and bottle than loads of players we have seen over the years at Oakwell.
I'd say the exact opposite was true of Bruno He was a big strong lad, but his boxing skills were very limited and he got through on heart and bottle. And he very nearly knocked Tyson off his feet when the animal was in his prime.
Paul Scholes vs Brazil Brazil down to 10 men, great chance for England to win the world cup. Scholes hid.
