A truly exceptional racehorse who is bidding to win her third Cox Plate and become the highest money-winning Australian horse of all time. Certainly not a bet (she's 1/6) but a moment of history on Atheraces, hopefully. 12.30 pm The Super Reds to win and end Carlos's reign at Hillsborough. Hopefully Hecky will play 4-5-1 and frustrate Wednesday, silence the crowd, and pounce on the counter late on. Ugbo to play the first 60 minutes and run them ragged, with Super Tom or Mamadou to turn the screw later on. Lee Bullen to be sent to the stands (well you can always hope!). 3.25 pm Aidan O'Brien to make history by achieving the highest number of Group 1 wins in a season in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster, surpassing the record of the legendary US trainer Bobby Frankel. Aidan has four in the race on Town Moor. If all this comes to pass it will be some day!
Magnificent Winx gets the first leg up. Only a half length victory from her old rival Humidor, but that can be put into context by the fact that she broke her own course record! Brilliant race mare, a great training performance, and hopefully she'll stay in training so that we can see her come over for Royal Ascot next year.
