I was going to give a reason for doing this, but its pretty self-explanatory
    . . . . .
    (1) Which one of Keith's summer recruits, did you have the most doubt/reservations about?
    .
    (2) On that same topic, which one of the recruits has surprised you - in a good way - the most?
    .
    (3) Which of the new recruits has been the biggest disappointment?
    .
    (4) And which one of the summer signings do you think has been the best?
    .
    (5) Which one player at the club, do you see as the key player, if any?
    .
    (6) Which one player would you hate to leave in January?
    .
    (7) Which one player - if any - would you get rid of in January?
    .
    (8) Who is the biggest saleable asset at the club right now?
    .
    (9) Will Jacob Butterfield be sold in the January transfer window (yes or no)?
    .
    (10) And finally, if Jacob does go, how much do you think we'll get for him?
    . . . . .
    Thanks.. :)

1 - Matt Done (not a Rochdale regular, so surprised he was brought here)
2 - David Perkins (never stops)
3 - Rob Edwards (defence looks better without him in it)
4 - Craig Davies (will prove to be a great signing)
5 - David Perkins (the team suffers when he isn't playing)
6 - Luke Steele (although a move to a southern club could get him into the England squad)
7 - Andy Gray (if only to save on his wages)
8 - Luke Steele (if Butterfield wasn't coming to the end of his contract it would probably be him)
    9 - I would imagine so
    10 - £750k

    1. David Perkins.

    2. David Perkins.

    3. None yet, think most have adapted well - not convinced Wiseman is a fullback so imho the criticism he's received has been unfair.

    4. Scott McNulty - had a dodgy spell a couple of weeks ago, but looks like he can **** this league. Always seems to have time on the ball - good sign.

    5. More of a team than any time since we got promoted - lose one 'key' player and we seem to replace them. If we're bad we're shocking, but most times those having a mare are covered by the rest.

    6. Luke Steele.

    7. None.

    8. Luke Steele.

    9. Hopefully not - he needs to think on that it's only under Hillkeithdavecrotlicker that he's established himself. Stop at BFC and develop.

    10. £500k.

    1) Done

    2) Perkins - Who is now Vital to the way we play.

    3) Wiseman - Still not convinced he is good enough.

    4) Perkins

    5) Perkins/Butterfield/Drinkwater - Potentially the best midfield for years. Too Tough to call between the 3 of them as they all have massive plus points and potential downfalls.

    6) Steele - One of the best keepers in the Championship.

    7) Jay McEveley - Rubbish at best.

    8) Steele/Butterfield - Young, English and with a point to prove.

    9) Yes

    10) Unfortunately no more than £500k and he is worth double that!

    (1) Which one of Keith's summer recruits, did you have the most doubt/reservations about?

Done, given that he wasn't even a regular in the Rochdale team and had been released and re-signed by Hill the year before.

    (2) On that same topic, which one of the recruits has surprised you - in a good way - the most?

McNulty - looks a good replacement for Shakell. He's not Shakell, but still part of a very good defensive partnership with Fozzie.

    (3) Which of the new recruits has been the biggest disappointment?

Edwards. I thought given his Championship experience he'd be the pick of the crop. Instead he's made a lot of mistakes and seems very slow.

The worse by far has been Addison but as he's a loanee I excluded him.

    (4) And which one of the summer signings do you think has been the best?

Tough to call, toss up between Perkins and McNulty for me, with Perkins edging it.
    .
    (5) Which one player at the club, do you see as the key player, if any?

The obvious choice is Butterfield, but given recent improvement in form he could be closely run by Davis.

    (6) Which one player would you hate to leave in January?

Would definately hate to see Jacob go. He will go eventually but I fear he'll never realise his potential if he chases the pound notes now. Look at Hammil. Yes he's earning a lot more but he's not going to develop as a player in Wolves reserve team.

Butterfield is a good player, I think he has the attributes to be a great player but I suspect he'll want his £15k or whatever a week now rather than think through the alternatives.

    (7) Which one player - if any - would you get rid of in January?

I would have said McEverley at the start of the season but given his upturn in form I'll just settle for Addison going back.

    (8) Who is the biggest saleable asset at the club right now?

Butterfield, but I would also say Steele is looking more and more like someone who's going to attract attention if he carries on.

    (9) Will Jacob Butterfield be sold in the January transfer window (yes or no)?

Yes - simple as that - the ball is in the players court and he'll take the quick pay-day (and probably rue it later in his career).

    (10) And finally, if Jacob does go, how much do you think we'll get for him?

    Tribunal.

Finally - quality thread, I'd forgotten what an old fashioned football thread was like. No politics, no one-upmanship - just an interesting one to reply to and an interesting one to read other peoples replies to!

I was going to give a reason for doing this, but its pretty self-explanatory
    . . . . .
    (1) Which one of Keith's summer recruits, did you have the most doubt/reservations about?
All of them. I don't think we've ever before recruited such a motley crew of nobodies.

    (2) On that same topic, which one of the recruits has surprised you - in a good way - the most?
Almost all of them have exceeded my expectations.

    (3) Which of the new recruits has been the biggest disappointment?
The loan signings of Addison and Park I suppose. But I do believe both are better than what we've seen of them. Gray is still very young and may go on to better things. Addison has been judged prematurely in my opinion. Having said that I'm not too keen on loan signings and I think we could have done without them.

    (4) And which one of the summer signings do you think has been the best?
Probably Perkins, but he's got stiff competition from most of the others.

    (5) Which one player at the club, do you see as the key player, if any?
Butterfield and Steele. Sorry, that's two.

    (6) Which one player would you hate to leave in January?
    Butterfield and Steele. Again two.

    (7) Which one player - if any - would you get rid of in January?
    Let Addison go back

    (8) Who is the biggest saleable asset at the club right now?
    Steele

    (9) Will Jacob Butterfield be sold in the January transfer window (yes or no)?
    Dunno, probably

    (10) And finally, if Jacob does go, how much do you think we'll get for him?
    Not enough

    1 = Done

    2 = Perkins

3 = Edwards (Not counted Big Miles as hes only on loan!)

4 = Keith Hill - A massive appointment for our football club.

5 = Perkins - When he hasn't played we don't look half the team we do with him in middle of park!

    6 = Steele

7 = Addison to go back - Player to sell - erm......... Lovre

8 = If he had a longer contract Butterfield - But because he's only got a few more months in Jan i would say Steele.

    9 = Doubt it.

    10 = £750k tops. Should be more........

    1) Which one of Keith's summer recruits, did you have the most doubt/reservations about? Done, he almost seemed a freebie as part of the Wiseman deal
    .
    (2) On that same topic, which one of the recruits has surprised you - in a good way - the most? McNulty, thought he would be 2nd choice left back and rarely feature, for me he's first choice left centre half and is by far a better player than the show pony we sold.
    .
    (3) Which of the new recruits has been the biggest disappointment? Addison (thought he'd be our stand out player) closely followed by Edwards
    .
    (4) And which one of the summer signings do you think has been the best? McNulty
    .
    (5) Which one player at the club, do you see as the key player, if any? A few weeks ago I would have said Butterfield. But the team is just that. Take one player out and another comes in and does a job.
    .
    (6) Which one player would you hate to leave in January? Drinkwater. I'd love us to sign him, at least keep him for the season and if we could sign him i think Butterfield would be more likely to stay too.
    .
    (7) Which one player - if any - would you get rid of in January? Doyle, Addison, Lovre, McEveley, Haynes... take your pick. Through a combination of attitude or lack of ability.
    .
    (8) Who is the biggest saleable asset at the club right now? Now I'd say Butterfield, at the end of the season I think Davies. Goalscorers are few and far between, and thats what the lad is.
    .
    (9) Will Jacob Butterfield be sold in the January transfer window (yes or no)? No. I think he'll sign a 2 year deal on the basis if an offer comes in he'll be allowed to talk to them.
    .
    (10) And finally, if Jacob does go, how much do you think we'll get for him? Has to be £1m plus, how many players can shoot like he can with such power with both feet and also be so comfortable on the ball? If we can get him on a decent contract, in my view he's better than Ramsey who went to Arsenal for £5m some years ago.

I was going to give a reason for doing this, but its pretty self-explanatory
    . . . . .
    (1) Which one of Keith's summer recruits, did you have the most doubt/reservations about?
I wasn't too critical of any of them, however if I had to pick one, i'd say Perkins. Purely because of his age and lack of championship experience at such an age

    (2) On that same topic, which one of the recruits has surprised you - in a good way - the most?
Probably Matty Done; looks a deccent acquisition despite even Keith Hill saying, he's a raw talent for the future

    (3) Which of the new recruits has been the biggest disappointment?
I don't have too much against the lad, but i'd kinda built my hopes up over Scott Wiseman. When i've seen him in the past, he's been a cracking player, but for me, he isn't the best defensivly. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a crack on the right wing though.

    (4) And which one of the summer signings do you think has been the best?
David Perkins, he's like a little terrier, he's everywhere.

    (5) Which one player at the club, do you see as the key player, if any?
Luke Steele, he's the key to our success. The fewer goals we conceed, the harder we are to beat, simples.

    (6) Which one player would you hate to leave in January?
Again, Luke Steele, for me the best player at the club, and arguably the best goalkeeper outside the Premier League.

    (7) Which one player - if any - would you get rid of in January?
I don't think we need to get rid of anyone, but depending on the situation of Butterfield, then he might be the one player we'll have to sell, if the money's right

    (8) Who is the biggest saleable asset at the club right now?
    Luke Steele

    (9) Will Jacob Butterfield be sold in the January transfer window (yes or no)?
If he continues playing like he has been doing in the last few weeks, no. He's gone very mediocre all of a sudden. Maybe teams are getting tighter to him, Doncaster didn't on saturday and he had his best game in a while.

    (10) And finally, if Jacob does go, how much do you think we'll get for him?
    £750k

Thanks to those who have responded so far. I thought these sort of threads would be ignored tbh but as 'Toby's Knackers' also points out, its interesting to read others' opinions.
I think we have all answered these questions before, but the answers are easily lost and forgotten in general chat.
Thats why I asked for short answers, to keep it simple.
    Thanks again mother flickers!
And hopefully more folk will chip in, and I may do sumat similar soon but regarding the club this time

They`re oreight if they keep up the pass AND move game whilst giving it 100% effort for a full 90 mins.

Players fighting for places with the youth on standby all wrapped up in a good team spirit.
