Getting daft now. 30, 43, 44, 45, 48 in the starting line up. Sack the board.

I suppose it’s a good thing if this is all people have to complain about…

Ridiculous thing to be annoyed about though.

Not annoyed here but I'm very interested to know how squad numbers are chosen

Players sometimes have a preference for any multitude of reasons..
I think Trent Alexander Arnold has a seemingly random number.. but i think (and can be corrected) he always wants the first squad number he was given when he made his debut.
Also, cricket, Joe Root usually wears 66.. for comedy.
Genuinely makes no difference to me, im happy for them to wear whatever number they like.

I imagine players are given the choice for the most part

    From Talksport re: Alexander-Arnold

However, there is no exciting or interesting reason why the defender wears the number, he was just assigned it by the Reds' kit management coordinator Lee Radcliffe! He wore a nameless No. 2 shirt during his first senior appearance for Liverpool aged 16 in a pre-season friendly at Swindon Town in 2015.

Cole wears 44 because 4 and 4 make 8 which was his Dad’s number.
McAtee wears 45 cos it adds up to 9.
Luca Connell wears 48 cos he can play as a 4 or an 8 in the midfield.
    Random, innit.
