Amongst other things, he said.. that they had conclusive video footage of the incident and that the referee had the perfect view of it. Said at half time that the referee felt that the yellow card was sufficient and Davey was incensed by it. Hume had been complaining throughout the first half about the use of elbows before the incident and had been given no protection by the officials. Was asked whether he expected a call from the FA regarding his comments about D'Urso and he said something along the lines of "I have no doubt that I will but I don't really care - my concern right now is making sure Iain and his family are okay." Came across very angry, but very well.
Thought he summed it up pretty well. Maybe the FA won't have the b*ll*cks to charge him once they have seen the video and seen how right he is. A lengthy rest for D'Urso would be more appropriate, and Morgan. Be interesting to see the welcome he gets next time he comes to Oakwell. I don't condone violence at all but he should be made to feel unwelcome.
