I know there are quite a few on here who reckon to be useful tipsters. I'm off to the St Leger meeting tomorrow but I haven't the foggiest when it comes to picking horses. If anyone can come up with a few names that I could spend my money on, I'll give it a go. This will be my third time at a Leger meeting and I've had one winner in 20+ races so anything is worth a try.

Cheers mate, I'll definitely give them a go. Anything's got to be better than my system which is based purely on the name.
Having said that, we go to the St Leger every year to celebrate our Jonathon's birthday so that 2:40 race might just be an omen.

Not necessarily got to be better, especially after my trip to Perth Races Monday where I got diddly squat from 7 races.

    Our Jonathon definately a coincidence.

With my usual caveat that tipping on an individual race, or even an individual day's racing is not the point [longer term strike rate that matters] here goes:

    2:05 Anjaal
    2:40 Steps/Burwaaz [split stakes]
    3:15 Gregorian
    3:50 Foundry/Leading Light [split stakes]
    4:25 Voodoo Prince
    5:00 Extra Noble
    6:05 Sandagiyr

For extra measure, ALIVE ALIVE OH will win the 3:35 at The Curragh

The above have been selected with the anticipated soft going in mind - further explanations available upon request, Good Luck!

I am going, I will study the form tomorrow and unlike last year when I just sat in the Champaigne lounge and got mullered I'm actually going to watch them parade and race as I'm designated driver!! I can sometimes pick up some hints from watching them parade, other times it just makes me more confused!!

    Disappointing showing.

Had the Leger winner in there [Leading Light - great ride from Joseph - some compensation for last year's dubious defeat] but otherwise, hit the woodwork too many times.

However, how Steps didn't get a dead-heat judging on the photo below defeats me!

I think there's a pixel in it, disappointing though that is as I had Steps and Leading Light in a double as well as singles . . .
