The staggering weekly wages of top paid players in League One according to the Peterborough Telegraph: https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk...e-wanderers-players-who-make-the-list-3991003 Wow. This explains why Hourihane is at Derby. I sincerely hope we're only covering a tiny fraction of Tedic's wages!
I'd hope we aren't paying anything for the amount of time he's played! And considering he was initially brought in as a U23 player! If we are then this lot aren't any better than Conway are they? It would be good to find out from the CEO but we know he's full of $hit anyway so it's pointless
Has he gone back with him being injured like Edwards did to Stoke City? Also I'd like us to send back Martin if he isn't playing.
The main ones (apart from most of the Wendy players ) are really Premiership players who just happen to be loaned and I’d say most div 1 clubs are not paying anywhere near those figures . As for Wendy , it beggars belief what they paying average players and Banan not worth that much imo . Something needs to be done about money filtering through clubs to players etc when the average fan is treat like **** and a cash cow and most facilities are naff ( I do however concede these TV etc are paying the most , but still ?). The Sharks circling football know no shame and love a feeding frenzy mostly at the cost of the fans .
Correct, send them both back. Free up 2 loan places and bring 2 in that will actually have a positive impact.
Would Iseka have been a worse option played out wide/ attacking than Martin? I doubt it. Still baffles me us loaning him out.
I refuse to believe Oxford are paying a player 12k a week. No chance. Oxford United who’ve been in League 1 & 2 for years now….
It looks to me like we don't have options in their loan agreements to send them back during January. If we had then I'm pretty sure that Tedic and Martin would have gone by now, both have contributed zilch. Khaled strikes again......
Do any of these sort of articles ever have accurate figures in them? I mean, how do they know the salaries. They clubs aren't going to publish them are they?
It would seem unlikely that we are paying a lot/anything for him given he was brought in as a development player.
Good question. Why would you write an article on it and completely make up wages of random players though, if you didn't have any info. Maybe the state of journalism these days.
When the BBC can get away with describing a single child running onto the Oakwell pitch as a "pitch invasion" then it's time to disbelieve everything unless/until it's been fact-checked.
I think it was down to his attitude didn't want to be hear and as we all know the players have all the power these days get him out and atleast other clubs presumably covering some of his wages rather stinking the place out.
Maybe mate, but I was only ever a student journalist (albeit a good one ), and I wouldn't have made stuff up for clicks; if that's the state media is in now, God help us (it may be).
There's the question of accuracy, but more importantly a lot of those on the list aren't league 1 players, they're on loan at league 1 clubs. Even if the figures are right, they're not contracts signed by league 1 clubs and the league 1 club won't be paying all the salary.
Not me. The bits we saw of him hed never fit into this side imo. Duff seemed to think so after taking a quick look at him too
