From a pure Marketing point of View, If Stan wants to get back to playing pro again, AR should sign him for the season, he would put bums on seats and i thgink if we got 15 games from him he could still do a job.

    Tin hat at the ready...

    "dogging hell"

wtf?!?!? Sounds like the sort of phrase they dub over swear words in films so they can be shown before the watershed!

    Being completely honest..........

    Bang on the nail!

Something else controversial here; I reckon he is the greatest English striker for many a year. Better than Shearer IMO. the only thing that HAS made Shearer better is the fact that Shearer's head is in check. Had Collymore not had his mental problems he was easily the best Englishman I have seen. Could kill teams on his own.

Yes I have had a lot to drink today (been to Rileys snooker club in TARN) but all my mates know how much I rated Stan. Would love him to come to us, fantastic player.

Course im serious. Collymore was a right player. I know its only one game - but watch Sheff Wed v Liverpool - I believe it was his debut. Typical performance of his career. Terrorised defences.

If Shearer had his arms chopped off he wouldn't have been half the player - dirty elbows *******.

Would be a complete disruption to the team

with all the media baggage that he'd bring with him

    Yep, yer probably right ES.

For me though it would be worth the risk.

Stan is a legend in my eyes - as is Tony Cascarino.
