it will be but u cant beat actual televised games. Tried watching the cardiff v barnsley stream last season and it was rhubarb. I always normally go to Forest away but can't finish work in time to set off early enough this weekend. Brilliant that its on telly tho
well the internet is your friend then ponty I know that there are ways of buying a set top box that open foreign channels up but u then need a dish pointing at another satellite different to sky. I been looking into this myself as there is quite a few games shown on these other satellites and every now and again, u drop on with the reds being on there.
Last time we were on a funny channel, the Vic in Cudworth was also showing it, and they're about 40p a pint cheaper than the Star.
I'll stick to the jerky internet. It's the modern equivalent of watching it on ceefax at times but it's free and easy.
It's on Al Jazeera +3 which is found on the satellite Hotbird 13e. Its the satellite for France and Italy amongst a few others. If you have a dish and a box you can get it through being very very naughty
I'm not saying that the dodgy box is what the star pub has. For all I know, they may have a perfectly legal subscription to watch these channels like many other pubs in England do.
I didn't think you could have a legal subscription to show channels from abroad. Didn't the woman who took it to court actually lose in the end (effectively)?
I'd need a bloody big dish from San Francisco. We've just started to get Al Jazeera here, but only the news channel.
I've set myself up a raspberry pi running XBMC so I can get streaming off all games on a Saturday have access to all the Al Jazeera stations Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
