The main problem with that for me is Cranie at RB.

Need a new first choice RB in there with Cranie and M'Voto as CBs.

Good blend of championship experience, talented kids and new signings eager to make an impression. Top 2.

Bottom half because of the left side of defence.

From the little I saw of him, i'd rather give young James Bree a go at right back and move Cranie inside instead of Nyatanga.

Desperately in need over cover in midfield and up front, if one of first team is injured then there isn't really any cover. Fear it will be a long hard season again

I'd be quite happy to see craine play at either right back or defensive midfield... Both Steve Foster and Martin Crainie played as fullbacks prior to signing for us, they then stepped into cover at centre back and never went back...

Crainie is confident on the ball, and mobile... I think that would be solid back four!

Champions no problem. Everything is great at BFC.

Title winners by Easter. Unbeaten at Oakwell all season. TK top scorer with 36 free kicks from various angles and distances, the most enjoyable being his 40 yard power blaster, toe nebbed in against Sheff Utd to confirm us as Champions.

Play wing backs with Cranie in the Fleming/Appleby role.

Looks like a top half/play-off side to me, so all good. Except, with injuries and suspensions, we'll not get that side out more than half a dozen times in a season, and the only other player in the squad with any first team experience at all is Danny Rose. And that's assuming we don't sell anyone before the end of August.

We need a right back, so our best central defender can play in the centre of defence, another left back would be preferable, another experienced central midfield player, another option for the wide midfield positions and another forward. Get those 5 players in and we can start to talk about where we might end up.

As it stands, we're going to struggle, because even if the younger element are good players, their lack of experience will lead to mistakes. You can cope with that if you bring through the youth players gradually, one or two at a time and rested if they lose form, but we're going to be forced to play a number of them every week. 3 or 4 injuries and half the team will be the academy side. And that's a best case scenario. The younger lads may just not be good enough. We don't know. I don't, you don't, the coaches don't, Ben Mansford doesn't and Danny Wilson doesn't (Now I'm just conjugating verbs) because they don't have any experience of first team football. No one has seen them at this level.

Not that I'm worried. Yet. There's still plenty of time to bring players in. But we definitely need them, because if we start the season with just 7 experienced professionals, a 22 year old with just one season in the Scottish lower leagues, a 21 year old who lost 2 years in a German reserve side, a 20 year old who has been on the periphery for years, but is yet to do owt, and the rest all academy lads, then we're going to be relegated.

    Reuben? Bit harsh.

I know he's never cemented a place for various reasons but considering his rare chances and the many roles he's been asked to play in, he's done oreight for me, for a young lad. Scored a few dream goals, put in the best full/wing back performance I've seen since Barnard/Eaden (against Hull 2013), and created goals/chances.

Not saying he's been amazing, he hasn't. He's hit and miss. But then, his chances are just as erratic. But yet to do owt? Bit harsh, pal.

Opinions and all that. I know one poster who'd definitely agree with you though.

We'll go down again with what we've assembled so far.

    That squad is paper thin.

There has to be more to come.

Have to say I think half way at best with that team.

Fairly sure a couple more will be coming in, hopefully in defence!
