I thought Johnson played well and I was warming to Souza before the gaff for their second. Massive credit goes to Werling for trying to get back on the pitch after he'd been subbed. Sir, we salute you.

I don't like the new system and I don't think it will work in the long run, but we won, so who am I to complain. Well done Reds.

PS All those of you wearing the home shirt from last season: Don't you feel a lovely person walkiing about in pink?

speaking of Werling wanting to come back on

Massive ****-up by the ref. Wonder if he'll be dropped for a week like he would if it was on sky sports.

I don't think we have the players to make it work

I think we lack width which sort of nullifies the threat of having two big lads up front. And I think we'll be found out very easily against teams much better than a very poor Plymouth.

But hell, what do I know, we won and that's what matters.

    Top hole Jay

    did not take long

    "a very poor plymouth"

Personally I'ld got Hartog down for that comment but you obviously beat him to the PC.

Thought the pilgrims were no world beaters, nevertheless a usefull side we should have mullered had Howard been less greedy and and Souza more consistant.

Lovely post, Jay. Love the comment about pink. It's great to have red back.

Don't really agree with you on the system tbh - but like you say, I don't care what system we play, as long as we win games, who can complain?

Thought it looked like a 442 at times today

Nyatanga was playing more of a LB role, particularly in the 1st half. Good to have some flexibility on the pitch.

He was only covering the left of centre mate, as Foster was doing on the right. Every so often, the time comes that they had to stretch a touch further though.

Thats what I was thinking on the whole

because we didnt seem to have a right midfielder. Whatever it was it worked well on both sides.
