In the summer the club made it known that we were going to try a different approach to the recruitment by bringing in young eager talented lads instead of wasting money on so called journey men.I for one was excited by this fresh new era which on paper seemed a very good change of tack.It started reasonably well and things were looking fairly positive. We then hit a wall and at the moment we can't find our feet again. If things aren't working you have to try and change things around.Option one is to change the manager and option two is to change personal which we seem to be doing.Although we have been too reliant on loanees that is our only option at the moment.I'm not that naïve to believe Johnson can survive many more defeats (I think he will go if we lose with Oldham) but if he does lose his job we have scope to tweak things further for a new manager by sending one or two of the short term deals back. For the sake of everyone at the club I hope Saturday brings a resounding victory and brings the belated start in an upturn in fortunes.

The 'young lads' approach hasn't worked because they haven't the experience of playing against men, and we haven't balanced it with a few older heads to guide them. In fact, it's all been 'Emperor's new clothes"!
