or The Top House to those familiar with dodworth lore. Having a all day fundraiser today in aid of a barnsley lad called Chris Williamson who has spent his life battling brain tumours. A few stories about it in chronicle and on there website. They have a bouncy castle and are having a kiddies disco for the first couple of hours then several singers have given there time to do entertainment from about 3 including a lass called Emily Worton, from thurgoland, who was apparently mentored by Will i Am on the voice( no idea, never watched it). They are having a raffle throughout the day with the first prize being a flat screen TV, and there's also a bushtucker trial where i believe over £400 has already been raised for the fools, erm i mean heroes to munch there way through various bugs and a dog meat pie. There's also a burger van for folks more selective with there food Sorry for hijacking the forum with a non footy thread, but if any of you are at a loose end this aft/evening, i am aware some of our brave fans are battling through the delights of blackpool, and have a couple of quid to spare you will be most welcome to join them.

My band is playing at 8pm. We're hoping to convince him that a box at Oakwell is a better use of the raised funds.
Oh and Emily Worton is brilliant, don't let the fact she was on a reality show put you off. Does a really good selection of acoustic rock covers.
You wont be the first to suggest that to him lol I believe someone has donated a box at old trafford for him now so the funds are going to more lets say worthwhile causes
