Statistically have we ever had a manager with a worse win ratio or PPG?

Someone did put the stats on here before this bad run and he had the worst PPG of any manager at BFC.

To be fair to Hill though after the loss of Vaz Te,Drinkwater,Butterfield and then Perkins injury on top, the last 3 months of last season he used to blood the young lads ,Stones, Rose, Digby, Clark, RNl, Bennett?....I wouldn't have thought many Barnsley managers have used so many academy age players,so perhaps that ought to be taken into account when analysing the stats.

So what is the excuse THIS season?
Some of those players had already been blooded too, by previous managers, one of them by a manager 2 before. Hill did bring in some loan players too , have you forgotten them?

I'm not having that one mate sorry....

Look again at the number of first team appearances of the young uns you mentioned, it's rock all. Stones been in and out and he's supposed to be the next big thing at Chelsea....

As for losing Drinkwater etc..we've always lost our best players under other managers, it's the food chain, Hill is no different.

If he is statistically the worst manager then I'm sorry, he's had his chance.

Thats why I used a question mark after his name...think there was someone else though, and to suggest RNL was blooded by Davey is not really correct, playing him was a commercial decision to do with his future value rather than his development.

Looks as though you knew the answer before you posed the question to me.

And I can't off the top think of another manager who has lost 4 such influential players all at the same time.

I think that Keith is the first Barnsley manager ever to sell a player and have a player injured in the same season. That's why we have to judge him on points per game per pound per penny per injury x pi r squared. Not on his actual results. Which is just as well.

No but not many I can think of have lost their top scorer and virtually the whole central midfield at the same time.

Vaz Te, good championship player, not a regular starter for West Ham, Drinkwater good player, couldn't attract premiership interest, remember he was a loanee. Butterfield, good player but not ready for the move he took in my opinion, again not a regular. I think what I'm getting at is they are decent players but more stood out in an average side.

More fool the fool who built his midfield around a player who had a 24 hour recall clause. Bonkers. As for the top scorer, this is the same top scorer who wasn't even starting as late as New Year's Eve.

Vaz Te was never a regular. In and out, and often a substitute, because Keith didn't trust him defensively.
He then said upon Vaz leaving - "he'll now go back to being a substitute, a footballing ghost.."
He fired his new club to the Prem.
    Good ol Keith.
