    Great advice that.

Make sure you keep your eyes peeled - you don't want to catch this pesky virus.

You do need to stay alert in a way,old lad in supermarket obviously not talked to many people in weeks, coming right up to me on about “there’s some good special offers son”,said “yes there is but you can’t get so close to talk at moment”,he looked well upset, but got to be done

I'll certainly be sporting my deerstalker hat and smoking my pipe when I'm out. I'll be carrying my newspaper with two holes cut out of it too. Can't be too careful. 'Go out, Infect others, Overwhelm the NHS'

    "Oooh look, a virus!".
    "Where?".
"Over there, look, it's got a knife".
    "Quick, run away!"

Surely it should say be alert your country needs lerts

They have even changed the border colour to green because the stay at home with a red border was “too effective”

I mean we only killed 50000 so far and counting if that was too effective what was the target 100k?

Do you think if I put me underpants on my head and pencils up my nose and say wibble I can get deported to somewhere like New Zealand with a sane governments

It's nuts. They've basically given up trying to lead. The slogan may as well be:

"Go out if you want. Stay at home if you want. But if you die it's not our fault"

Yep, sounds like indecision in cabinet has made them unclear what strategy to employ therefore they've given up whilst trying hard not to look like they've given up. When the death rate starts increasing again in about three weeks it'll be back to 'following the science'

Which they will because we are treating OAPs the same as teenagers despite that science clearly showing they are completely different risks. Madness that very few people will even acknowledge this.

Stay Alert - Control the virus - Save Lives. Not the snappiest of slogans, but it's heralding a gradual return to work for most. Social distancing as far as we can achieve in the work and social spaces? Shop a cougher - Save Lives? Boris's evil goblin Cummings needs to try again.

They actually seem at pains to dismiss talk of treating people differently. It feels like "we can't discriminate so you'll all have to do the same thing"

People keep saying this government are doing a good job, or as well as can be expected in unknown circumstances! I call ******** mixed message , false claims on numerous of tests, tests having to be flown to America, paying for PPE for it not to turn up so we send the RAF , then it’s substandard and quarantined! Too late locking down, no stringent controls.
The economy and rich corporations are being put before life, this new “stay Alert” wtaf?

Andrew Marr had a statistician on his show this morning Sir David Spiegelhalter and gave some statistics on death rate by age group:
Under 15 yrs old 2 out of a population of c10m approx rate is 0.0000002
Under 25 yrs old 26 out of a population of c17m approx rate is 0.00000015
Over 90yrs death rate is >1% - this is 10,000 times the risk for young people

If anyone wants to view on catch up iplayer 47 mins in - clearly lambasts the Govt's No. 10 comms team

The government is changing the slogan of "stay at home" to "stay alert"

    Jenrick said:

"Stay alert will mean stay alert by staying home"

    It's a Monty Python sketch

I`ve been alert ever since Boris Bygraves took over. Just watch them hand gestures go tonight, lecturn thumping, flat hands with thumbs raised finger end to finger end.

Good to see England leading Scotland and Wales in announcing the new measures. Oops they haven`t again.
