the home attendances this season have been a kick in the balls, and its fair to say if we're struggling to get 12,000 playing Brazilian football, it'll have occured to Ritchie that the fan base is, well, small for the Championship. cant be arsed to put fuel in your Range Rover or would rather take the kids to Meadowhall? I hope you sleep well....
Or is it Ritchie and his lack of team strengthening giving us no chance in the Championship that is keeping the fans away.
if so, and if its based upon wins and performances, after the first 6 games you'd think we'd be getting 20k
Stay away fans just a few possible reasons...
2 home wins in 16 outings?
20 quid a ticket?
No decent signings?
4th from bottom?
5 straight defeats?
I could be wrong mindsthi.

if all the 'fans' that are staying away went he might actually hsve some money to spend, and what are you on about... no chance in this league... we have only been well and truely beaten by one team this season, Norwich, and we had 10-men for 80 minutes of the match so dont come out with excuses like that
Think the lack of signings put people off - a couple of those bums on seats players would have made a big difference
wrong we have well and truly been beaten by
Burnley
Cardiff
Norwich
S Weds
Luton
Preston
Sunderland

BFC has a hard core of 4,500 fans who come to every home game irrespective of how we are doing, what the weather is, time of kick off etc. The rest fluctuate in numbers wildly, many are motivated by the entertainment on offer, but BFC is now competing with every other spectator sport, and numerous other ways of spending leisure time. BFC is not alone in this respect, and this trend is set to continue.
Why is it fickle? Fans of football go to be entertained and get value for money, if they think that they arent getting one or the other then they dont go. It is upto the company that needs their business to do their upmost to attract them.
If a fan of a certain tv program stopped watching because it wasnt entertaining them or it was on sky and they didnt think it was value for money then they wouldnt get called fickle, just human yet with football fans you are for some reason expected to keep going regardless.
Never worked it out

RE: Correct Coupled with the fact that football is so expensive - especially if you have kids. Can set you back £100 a game with tickets , food , programmes etc
RE: Why is it fickle? That's my opinion - the fans fickle in lots of ways , praise people up to the hilt when things are good then saying how rubbish we are in the next game -
Great example at Liverpool at the moment - a ,lot of them want Rafa out but the guy has won them the Champions league and the FA cup a few bad results and they want him out

RE: Correct Yes agreed, for two hours of family entertainment:
Football = £80
Cinema = £30
We no longer live in a die-hard 'born with footie running through my veins' society.

RE: Why is it fickle? I think you're both hitting the same point, but from differing angles. It is down to your interpretation of the word fickle.
RE: Ah but..... Ar blame him who walks round collecting cans wi that dog.Eddie Waring as well. Barstewards.
Agree but the club need to think about prices and how to market themselves a little better as well. Folk only have so much money and need an incentive to spend it on BFC. Having said that it woudl still not get me there given current living arrangements, but for the Christmas fixtures why not offer 2 tickets for 30 quid. Get folk in on boxing day as well as against SWFC.
I put fuel in mine all too often, which is partly the problem. Also, if I took the kids to Meadowhall then I'd leave them there and go to the game.
