I think your original statement came out more as a fact than an opinion. The truth about these sort of issues is out there certainly, and having opinions in what transpired based on surrounding facts is also good but stating something like SD didn't 'try' when there's no evidence either way doesn't help much.
Well we have'nt got him, ok Ipswich may have offered him a much better deal. My point is that if you think that someone will considerably help the team you make it more attractive, that is why i belive we did'nt try harder (we did,nt rate him / try hard enough). Davey on the whole has done ok in the tranfer market and I do trust him 90% of the time with dealings.
the point is! Not if he tried hard enough it's whether if tried at all. Sd may not even wanted him and it would them be a non-starter on the effort
