If Hassell and Steele move on then so be it. The manager will decide ultimately if thats the case and for me he should be given the respect to make that decision. Managers have to make tough decisions sometimes but the bottom line is that they DO have to make decisions. I am conscious of the fact that I have now used the word 'decision' 3 times (sorry - 4) but that's my decision (5). The manager was a messiah till rumours of Steeles demise/contract reduction came along and now he is getting stick from some sections. Leave Flicker to get on with things. If you trusted him for the last 6 months then continue to trust him. I at least trust his decisions (6). We need to get behind the guy at all times in the next few months and keep the momentum going. Decisions, decisions (8) Divine wind to you all Kamikaze
I dont think its the fact that they're moving on that's the problem, but to use Steele's age as a reason to only offer him a 1 year deal is very strange. I have 100% faith in Flicker and what he is trying to do here, I just can't get my head around that reasoning whatsoever. Puzzled more than annoyed really.
By questioning and/or disagreeing with Flicker, does not make you disrespectful of him or his decisions. I disagree with him over Luke Steel but if Luke moves on then so be it and all the best to him. Flicker deserves our support and respect, but that doesn't mean you have to follow blindly and not question things and voice your opinion if you disagree. Over-reaction on here doesn't just come from those posters who are perceived as being negative.
