in the past when some of ours have gone to local rivals they became *****. Danny Wilson to manage Wendies...***** Morgan to blunts... ***** Howard to Blunts .... ***** Malteser to blunts ... ***** so go on Luke mi lad , if you are gonna leave please let it be to the Pikeys, Nailed on 6 points there. OR you could sign on again, and be a part of the champagne cork poppers when we win the play offs.... and that is not impossible either.
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, Even though I despise the guy, Morgan did well at Sheff United to be fair.
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, Yeah he did excellent playing his part in two relegations playing for them, like he did with us. I've always been surprised someone with four relegations to his name was rated so highly.
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, Erm after captaining them to promotion to the Premier League. That's like saying De Zeeuw was **** for us because we got relegated. Morgan was excellent for us too. Unsung hero of the 1999-2000 season.
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, There is something wrong if he leaves us and ends up at the pikeys.
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, Unsung hero? What, besides winning the player of the year and the player of the millenium at the end of that season!
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, There's more to this Steele thing...ever thought it could be Flitcroft trying to get the longer serving, non-Hillcroft, players out of the club? Stephen Foster seemed worth another year to most of us - yet he's let go Bobby offered a year on (apparently) massively reduced terms yet proved he can still do an excellent job. Steele offered another year, again apparently on reduced terms but age used as an excuse when he's still pretty young in goalkeeper terms Can't think of any other non-Hill/Flitcroft signings who are still in the squad, unless you include RNL who played the odd game under Davey and Robins but was still in nappies. Oh, maybe Jim O'Brien was there before them as well. We only see what happens on the pitch, who's to say the three listed above weren't upsetting the apple cart at times last season? I suppose it's like working for a company for a few years and suddenly all the management changes, you've been there longer than them, you know how the company operates and when the new people do something which doesn't seem right to you, you speak up (if you've anything about you). As manager, Flitcroft hasn't done a lot wrong, but maybe there are some scares/awkward relationships with players following the whole of 2012 which was no doubt one of the poorest calendar years in our history.
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, Who knows. O'Grady seems to think Dave Jones could be a bit like that: “I think they need to get some new players in for next season, especially because some of the players there now don’t seem to be part of the plans" “Manager Dave Jones needs to get in players he regards as his own" “If he does that then I’m sure they’ll do well this season.” (http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...-departed-o-grady-makes-owls-pledge-1-5785895)
Re: Steele to Donny some are saying, well if he does leave I hope he does go there, Yeah I read that earlier, think that was a bit of a dig at SWFC to be honest. Could be the same for Flitcroft, most of the lads him and Keith brought in were known to them on a personal level - Steele, Hassell and Foster must have seemed pretty invincible at the club having been here for a while and being favourites of most fans, I'm guessing they weren't afraid to speak their minds and possibly divided the dressing room. I certainly wouldn't blame them for that given just how dire we were in 2012.
