If he is still at the club next season he has no chance of being first choice keeper with Muller back. All our early season form stems from the confidence Muller gave the rest of the team. Muller would have been player of the season if not injured without any doubt.

Sounds like you're having a bit of a dig at the lad though. He stepped in at a time when we needed a keeper who we could count on, and he did it. As much as our early season confidence was built from the back and what Muller had given us - our second half season revival and our wonderful cup run was built (without question) on what Steele gave us. They're both great players, they're both ours.

I cant see Steele warming the bench though can you. Did you hear the reception Muller got from the fans when he walked around the ground before the Hull game. Says it all.

Why wouldn't he be at the club?

    We've only just signed him.

He looks a good prospect. Not as good as Muller but still a decent keeper.

think muller will be the bench warmer to be honest cant see him dropping steele after his performance this season.

Depends how Muller comes back. Strength in depth is not something that we'd ever been blessed with but now we've got two proper goal keepers and it keeps them both on their toes.

Muller is bound to get a warm reception - he was awesome before his injury, but form is a funny thing with keepers. I hope he regains his form with his fitness. If he doesn't it isn't the end of the world. The other option may be that, if he does come back firing on all cylinders, we ship him out for a couple of million, and we keep Steele.

We can't lose in that department - and it is thanks to both of them, not just one.

    Colgan Syndrome.

As soon as he sees Muller is first choice he'll start muttering under his breath about wanting first team football or he's off!

    My prediction:

Muller fit for start of season; Steele keeps his place; Muller has training ground bust up with Davey; Davey refuses to even put him on the bench; Davey makes him train with the kids; Muller spouts off in German newspapers about his treatment :D
