Top quality performance from him today. Coming for crosses, quick off his line and strong when challenged in the air. Apart from a couple of dodgy kicks he showed today why he is highly rated by most.
Thought his kicking was pretty good today. Lots of long straight balls down the middle. No problem with him punching so much either because Blackpool were a dirty side so we couldn't risk a foul on the keeper not being given if he caught it and dropped it through no fault of his own.
I hope to god you `re joking because he put 2 balls into touch, one because a player was injured and one in which he was furious with himself, otherwise it was a vintage keeping performance. Keep up Tomf or get off the fence.
Exactly. I really do rate him. Okay, his kicking can be a bit off sometimes, but his shot stopping is absolutely fantastic. I hope he stays here for a few more years to come. First name on the team sheet.
i've actually no idea whether you're saying he was good or $hit now. i thought he was good. there, that should clear things up.
why does every post about steele have to degenerate into a debate about his kicking. I DONT ACTUALLY GIVE A FLYING F**K WHO HE KICKS THE BALL TO 80 YARDS DOWN THE PITCH as long as he keeps pulling off great saves when the ball is in his area. TA.
I was questioning the original poster on a couple of dodgy kicks, I saw one but has always folks are eager to jump in with their size 14s. Vintage keeping performance and question marks after couple gave it away shirley.
I think there literally was just a couple of suspect kicks (which is good by anyones standards) one which went out of play and one which he didnt get any height on and went straight down the middle but fortunately bounced to one of our players. Steele was brilliant today he came for everything, made some brilliant saves and seemed to have glue on his hands
Sorry, I just thought people were on the Steele bashing bandwagon. I was wondering which way you meant it, hard to tell tone through text.
i thought he had a good game and i'm a huge steele fan. but not sure about that assessment. punched when he could have caught the ball, for me.
He's always been a puncher. In fact, most keepers are these days. Even some of the saves you see from top keepers would have been caught back when r worra lad (late 80's).
