But the most confusing thing is... Potts and the rest of the squad were down at Oakwell earlier today

Or each transfer in each window has completely different set of circumstances, which none of us on here know, regardless of who says they were talking to Chien Lee while buying carrots and we should maybe consider the fact that Potts requested a move, and we received a big enough transfer fee (definitely over 3 times what we paid for him) and decided we can replace him.
Yes we have no data to go on regarding selling you best players in january and then failing to get promotion and collapsing. No nothings at all. It’s early days and plenty can happen but unless we have a plug in and replacement ready it is more of the same that got us here in the first place.
I get your point and I think this has certainly kicked in the fear of a repeat from 2 years ago, but selling Potts who was a good player and a decent asset in League One for a big profit with weeks left to replace him certainly isn't the car crash that the 2017 window was, although that could change very quickly
For a repeat of 2017 we'd need to sell Moore and Mowatt, and for the Woodrow deal to somehow collapse. Surely, surely, surely not?

Soon as they sell Potts you post making out you bumped into stendel and had a good chat with him and the whole thing suits the agenda you try to get across on here.
