It makes you wonder if this in some way explains his behaviour at Huddersfield and his performances.

Sounds like he had it a bit rough and although he shouldn't have acted like he did I guess it was out of character.

 

I think the comments from some of our fans had more to do with his behaviour after the Huddersfield game.

If a few more Barnsley players gave it their all we wouldn't be languishing in the bottom half of league one.

Still think there is room for a 100% commuted, ability lacking truer at every club. Not as the first name on the team sheet but certainly in the squad just in case

Sounds like he got off on a technicality. From stuff I've heard there's definitely more to this but it wouldn't be prudent to give details. Not necessarily Dawson but people he has been closely connected to. I think betting inside football goes on and the sooner it comes out the better...

The fake sheikh being deemed a liar has saved a lot of bacon.

Nice of Dawson to repay the faith and loyalty shown in him by the club and Danny, by then rejecting us because ridiculously he assumed Championship clubs would take him on.

 

Why does it say he then captained us against Bristol City? We didn't play them last season.

He's quite blatant there about how Wilson personally and the club supported him, offered him a contract and still he chalked on us.

And folk say there's no loyalty in football.

 

I think the most damning statement in the interview is that the PFA wouldn't help men innocent until proven guilty, but will make a stand for a convicted man.

 

Pretty much everything I don't like about modern football was how he turned us down expecting a better offer. It's a shame the toss piece got any offer at all. Though given the hill/Flitcroft jobs for the boys approach he was always going to.

 

I suspect they were saying they couldn't offer him legal support for a criminal case of that magnitude which is exactly the same as Evans.

 

Absolutely. What makes me think is what made the fake Sheikh use the names of obscure no marks? Is it because he thought it would be more credible?

Another mark against Danny I'm afraid. Why on earth he offered the useless ****** a new contract, I will never know.

I always liked interviewing Dawson, got on well with him. But I just don't believe that Championship clubs would have signed him regardless of the betting scandal.

Having said that, the bid from Birmingham was sincere a couple of years back.

Serves him right for turning down a contract with us and then having to go to Rochdale.
