Anyone know if he is meant to be back for easter weekend? Can remember Flickers saying he was hopeful of him being back for the Man City match, don't think I've heard anything since. Not that our midfield needs freshining up but he's always a good player to have in the squad.
i think he would have played sooner, had kelvin not been such a revelation in the middle. we've just beat watford and brighton back to back, he's gonna have to win his shirt back. great problem to have
Good player to have in the squad ? He would be my first name on the team sheet. Hope he starts next Saturday! Come on u reds!
For the most of this season I would have said he's the first name on the team sheet but Etuhu and Perkins have been immense in the middle of the park. Perhaps he may play all 3 next week, although I don't know what kind of system we'd play if that would be the case.
Not possible to play daws, perks, kelvin, Mellis and obrien in the same team. In my opinion. Someone will have to miss out
Not with two strikers anyway, which definitely wouldn't suit us. Can see the midfield being rotated a little between the Weds and Leicester games.
I have to agree its a difficult but good situation to be in with such a quality midfield. I just think dawson's energy, determination and spirit is required for the local derby. He will put the wind up em. Thing is we could play him and see how it goes then if he's tiring which I don't think he will do due to being back in full training a while, then we can replace him with o'brien. Only my opinion like
Whereas I think the the other way round. Bring him on AS they're starting to tire. Last 20, hit em with the dawsonator
It's an indication of the quality of midfielder we have that Dawson isn't straight back in. He's gpnna have to take his chance when he gets one, same as all of them.
I just think its better to start with the best midfield ( Dawson would be in there ) rather than bringing him on late when we could be two or three goals down, doubt it like cos fowls are gash
Have faith in the squad that's won 10 from the last 16. Daws has no match fitness, starting with him could cost us. Also could damage the morale of those who have been outstanding for us while he's been out.
I agree. I'd bring him on on 65 minutes, it should give the crowd a lift. Let him run riot while they're all tiring and it will also mean he gets some match time ahead of Leicester. He'll then be ready to start against Leicester in place of Perkins or Etuhu, which ever is in most need of a rest.
