BARNSLEY midfielder Stephen McPhail has been ruled out of Saturday's trip to Doncaster Rovers after struggling to recover from a medial ligament injury. The Republic of Ireland international picked up the problem at Nottingham Forest and missed last weekend's victory over Bristol City. He will now sit out Saturday's massive local derby at Belle Vue. Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Stephen is not fit yet to go back into training. He will not be ready for Saturday". [IMG]

    Good news

Heckinbottom left midfield. I'd play Devaney right mid, perhaps a better match for McIndoe than Shuker.

I agree with Hecky in midfield....

I don't think Shukes would do well in a physical game, not least because he's gone off injured in our last two matches. I'd have him as a sub if needed later in the game and get Hecky starting.

Says in the Barnsley Star that we are considering a contract for him (!) but that Ritchie wants more time to look at the other two.
