'He's black so I know he's not from London'

    (gent)

Good show old boy. That's kinda like saying 'He's fat so he must be American'.

    I preferred this American story

-By the way why are the NFL playing in the UK

I heard a horrible suggestion we might want to start playing some prem games stateside

    Ananova:
Police chief ready for zombie attack

A US police chief has stockpiled chainsaws - in case his city is invaded by zombies.

Police lieutenant Bruce Ferguson says his team are ready for any attack on Lansing, Michigan.

"We have been doing mock disasters and cross training for several years," he told the Lansing State Journal.

"People can feel confident, if zombies start invading, we'll know how to close the streets. We can get chainsaws too.

"If a swarm comes in on I-496 westbound, we'll block off the exits so they miss the city."

    Brilliant

The NFL are looking to promote the game outside the US, they've had pre-season games at Wembley before and there was the European league (NFL Europe) for a number of years which disbanded this year - just as well as it was turning into NFL Germany. A few years ago they held the first regular season game outside of the US in Mexico in front of approx 110,000 spectators. Since then there has been an increasing movement from UK based fans to get a game here.
Earlier this year, or may have been late last, the NFL agreed to stage up to 2 regular season games outside of the US and straight away Wembley wanted one....it was between London and Germany for this one, the possibility is that London will stage one at least every 2 years should this be a success - given that people had to register interest for tickets, and they got registration for 500,000 tickets, then it's safe to say that from that point of view it is. It now all comes down to how well the game is staged.

There have already been 2 NHL (North American league ice hockey) regular season games staged in London this season and there was a pre-season NBA (basketball) game, all 3 sold out at the O2 arena (approx 20,000)

As to the Premier League question - I heard that today and it was a shareholder in Arsenal and the West Ham owner who mentioned it, I suspect they were asked the question as a result of the NFL game so responded to that query. The Premier league appear to have rejected that idea and I don't see it coming off....it's not required in the same way to promote the sport.

Funny you should mention the Americans and the Germans................

Because the more you look at the American people the more like Germany it becomes
Same values same lifestyles etc etc
We Brits set the country up for the Yanks (e.g. law system, democracy) but we are a country mile away from being like them
On the other hand look at Germany and the Germans, even to the extent of how they look, and you see many similarities with Americans
For example, big boned, broad faces, wide frog (not french) like mouths, plastic looking teeth, no style, no culture, look so clean they look like they iron there socks and knickers, sandels and white bobby socks, big hair etc etc etc
