"Martin Taylor is the biggest, gentlest man," said Bruce. "There will be nobody more upset and sickened than him, there is not a bad bone in his body.

"He would never, ever do anything malicious. He has mis-timed the tackle, and I've seen it. Some would say it is not even a yellow card."

The guys a bigger arsehole than I thought

that would'nt even have been a booking then either I'm sure.Loadsa players get broken legs doesnt make it right, and when it comes down to it that was'nt even the point I was making.

i can't make my mind up on it, coz he clearly miss timed his tackle but i think he could have prevented eduardo's foot getting cought between his feet and could have stopped himself from putting all that pressure on eduardo's leg in the follow through

The tackle will probably ruin 2 careers

Eduardo may not be the same after the accident and the Birmingham player certainly will not get over it. I like some think it was just a bad mistake he made not a 'deliberate laming tackle'

i don't think he set out to injure eduardo i just think he could have done more after mistiming the tackle to prevent the injury, gunna be hard for taylor to play again he'll be in constant fear of doing same again and a centre half who won't takle is no use
