My uncle says he's spoke with Cryne & that it's a 'done deal' regarding Steve Coppell being installed as next Barnsley manager. I thought he may have been drinking when he messaged me yesterday but he's repeated it today & even told me to put some money on it. I asked if Patrick was back from hols & my uncle said 'no but I spoke to him yesterday' (sunday). I don't know anything else & will be going offline soon cos I'm on afters but just thought I'd share that with you lot.
There is some crap on here. The Board will not sit and filter the many applications they have had until mid week when Cryne gets back. Next we will have someone seeing Elvis at the Ground being shown the Academy!!!!
All I have said is what has been said to me, boards like this are built on things like this, if you want something that's going to be 100% accurate 100% of the time then buy a pregnancy test.... Oh no wait a minute....
I didn't encourage anyone! I stated that my uncle told me to put money on it, i'd like to think he wouldn't encourage me to do that unless he knew something that's all. End of the day it is speculation, just like everything else considering our new manager is at the moment.
Can't see it... has only managed one club north of London, in which he lasted 6 games... And quit Both he and Curbishley have always been based in the south of england. They have previosuly been linked with moves to big name teams up north e.g. Newcastle, Leeds Utd (when they were good), Boro etc and but for what ever reason did not agree terms. Makes me wonder if they were settled in the south and were unwilling to re-locate.
