    Scored some cracking goals for the reds but no where near the bracket of say Higgy.

    class player.

    agnew was arguably the best young midfielder we produced from the junior system ( now acadamy ) in the last 15 years,, he possesed an exocet like shot , shame he had no hair mind!

    RE: class player.

    Quality midfielder.

    You didn't get £750k for a player in them days for someone who didn't have something about him. His goal v Soton in cup world class. Can't think of many other midfielders at BFC except Redders, Glav and Higgy who have been better than Aggie.

    Somebody had their eyes closed at the time obviously with that crab comment.

    Always felt he sufered local lad syndrome which also affected Nicky Eaden

    We seem to get on their backs much more than plares from outside of Barnsley

    Aggie- great home-produced player. Crab? You mean Mick McGuire

    Mick McGuire was the sideways movement specialist, not Aggie who was far more direct.

    Because he didn't get 'stuck in', like Gwyn Thomas for example, which some sections of the Barnsley crowd seem to appreciate more, but I thought he was abetter player. I saw him score some fine goals - including a particularly good strike at Elland Road.</p>

    240 apps 35 goals, not bad for a sideways man!

    I quite liked him, couldn't fault his effort, another chicken bart heead at times.

    Stallwart for 5 seasons though
