States they dont give an unfair advantage for reasons I am struggling to understand... http://www.football365.com/barnsley/8092291/Kean-hits-back-at-Hill-comments
Typical ramblings of a short-sighted football manager. Hill is 100% right and privately Steve Keane knows it.
Bit of a limp argument to be honest. Argues that they aren't at an advantage from recieving parachute money only to confirm it has been used to buy Rhodes....
Hmmm, methinks the headline writer could be done under the Trades Description Act - more like 'Kean Limps back with Vaguely Tangential Ramble'
No. I'm pretty sure Keith would have come back with a better response/argument than Kean has. In fact I'm certain.
I get the feeling Keith doesn't particularly like Kean. He didn't complain about Blackpool's parachute payments on Saturday. Love listening to him though. Breath of fresh air
I think Keane is right in that he is now spending money generated by Blackburn's tenure in the Premier league. That these funds were earned legitimately as regards established current financial practices. I would think that he would have rather had these funds at his disposal during last January's transfer window, as to aid the clubs fight against relegation. The ethical argument that Keith is proposing, is that you spend these funds in the season that they are allocated - not as a safeguard following relegation to supplement wage bills or fund new players. I love Keith Hill to bits, but I don't think it was was the right time to make his argument. I can understand his passion after that performance and result but, like he says, people only see the scoreline and he might sound a bit of a sore loser.
