Was just reading this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/6497817.stm when the following quote struck me McClaren said: "They care. They're passionate about playing for England. "It hurts them when they lose. It's 10 times harder playing for your country than it is for your club." I'd be very interested to hear why he thinks it's 10 times harder playing for England when it is highly debateable whether a single team in our qualifying group is as good as a single Premiership side. Can anyone think of anything beyond "because he's incompetent"?
