Who doesnt give him credit? I think the only slight on his career is that its obvious that he and Lampard can't play in the same team despite numerous managers trying to shoe horn them in the side. Quality player - one of the top 5 midfielders in prem history for me.

One of the most decorated players in the English game To give him any more credit you'd have to consider him as one of the ggreatest English players, and I wouldn't say he's that good. Although on his day, there's few better in the Premier league. I think Frank Lampard on the other had gets far more unneccessary (sp) stick than Gerrard does.
He is a quality player there is no doubting that but I dont like him and I think he dives too easily.
