Just listened to latest interview with Flicker on player. In addition to Cofie he wants a "plug in and play striker" who is ready to be dropped into the line-up immediately just like COG, Daggers and Scotland.

He mentioned Cofie as a forth choice option in competition with Rose, says Cofie is not ready yet fitness wise, due to him training at home since the end of last season without a club.

So one more striker still to come :)

That'll put a few peoples mind at ease on here.

We'll see how this lad develops, maybe he just needs a bit of game time under his belt. Look at Fabien Brandy, another former target of ours, released from Man Utd, had a decent season for a Walsall side who exceeded expectations, he's had a bit of interest from higher up as a result.

Who knows what will happen. Still unsure who we'll bring in as a ready to go striker, chances is it'll be a player on a freebie, reckon it'll be some early 30's experienced striker just released from the PL or upper championship, as we did with Jon Macken and Andy Gray.

I think we need a "I have scored goals on Match Of The Day" type striker.

    a Mido type of signing

This player must have the ability of Andy Johnson, look like Ricardo Fuller, drive the same car as Darius Vassell, and speak French. As you can imagine, it takes time to find this sort of player.

I've just listened to Flitcrofts interview with Rob Staton and unless I've missed it he never mentioned bringing in another striker. Is it the same interview as Barnsley player.?

If it is seen as the 4 of Scotland, Daggers, O'grady, New striker

    Rose, Cofie

Where does Clark figure into plans? Seems a shame that it doesn't look like he'll be getting a chance, maybe a loan is in order.

    Re: Okay

I've heard a rumour that we are having Fryatt on loan, too. The lad Vardy is also being mentioned a lot. Both would be ideal. But I think we have 3 good strikers already, and I am inclined to suggest RNL, Jennings and Clark could all play up top if need be. And Sir Bob. Obviously.
