McIndoe move a last minute shock for fans The biggest shock of loan deadline day came late on Thursday evening when Barnsley confirmed winger Michael McIndoe has left the club. He's joined Wolves in a deal that will become permanent when the transfer window opens in January. McIndoe says it's an offer he had to take: "You'd be a fool to turn it down, the bottom line is that a club have come in for me, they've got massive ambitions themselves. "I think at the moment they're slightly the bigger club and I've got to go where I feel will get me in the Scotland national side. "So I'd say to the Barnsley fans understand that fans always stay loyal to their team, players come and go, managers come and go. "A lot of clubs might have stood in my way and would have probably upset myself and the club. I would say to the supporters I think they have good times ahead." Chairman Gordon Shepherd's told BBC Radio Sheffield that he couldn't stop McIndoe from joining Wolves. Shepherd's revealed that the winger had a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave if another club came in for him. We're informed the fee is more than Barnsley paid for him in the summer.
