Good luck with that. Confined to hotel, possibility of curfews, all excursions cancelled for safety reasons - I would honestly rather be at work. Your best hope is that the foreign office change their advice to "DON'T GO TO EGYPT", forcing the tour operator to offer you a get out.
Sharm is like being in another country from the rest of Egypt, we went just following the last lot of unrest and it was fantastic. Not a place I would be worried about going again. Lovely place and it is very cheap at the moment.
Got back about a week ago. You wouldn't know anything was going off anywhere else in Egypt. Sharm is like a seperate country. theres only one road into sharm from the rest of Egypt. If I was due to go net week I wouldn't be at all worried
