    I'm sure enquiries were made but don't think we were ever near that one, if Celtic doesn't happen then there'll be Championship clubs queuing up.

    I heard he wants to move to Celtic. I think he'd go to Donny and Wednesday before us anyway I'm afraid.

    We may not be bigger than Celtic but we're in a much better league. He'd be better of playing in the North East counties league than going up to that pub league.

    He would get Champions league football though. I'm sure the majority of players would prefer the Championship to the SPL but they wouldn't get the chance to rub shoulders with Messi, Ronaldo and company.
