    I thought that, too

But now you've said it, I've decided we don't need any new players! I can't be seen to be agreeing with you, EVER!:D

Oh, I think we need more than that!

    :D
A couple of central defenders (Sean St. Ledger, Richard Wood) and another striker (Simeon Jackson).

Says in chronicle today that we've talked to 5 defenders so far, the main one being the Brighton lad and he's still looking for a striker.
he doesn't want a big massive centre back he wants someone that can run (not like Forster did) so they can play higher up. He also said that he would wait to start of new season if not to see what's happening with the premier league players for loans.
He is also taking on 3 or 4 trialists whilst in Spain to see what they are like.
Looking well for start of season I'd say I really fancy our chances this year

A right sided defender and a centre half like Cranie, and a fast forward. 3 would do it. Not sure about some of these

They're just suggestions, mate. However, St. Ledger is a right sided defender and Jackson is a fast forward.

I think we need a new goalkeeper to put pressure on Steele and let Alnwick go

We need one maybe two tall commanding centre halfs..........although Flicka says we don't

    We need left back cover

We need another left footer to put pressure on Jennings......probably a young up and coming player that Flicka can develop

We need another attacking midfielder to put pressure on Mellis..........unless Digby breaks through this season

We need at least another striker maybe two

Ben Mansford says they are looking to bring in another 3................THE DON used to say the same and we would end up with another 6........which on my reckoning is about right

Crikey, so you think all our existing players are crap?

We can't afford that bloated a squad. We'd also have the issue of large amounts of players getting little game time and affecting squad harmony. We've also a number of players who can play different positions and different formations.

One CH, one attacking midfielder, maybe (although we've Jennings, O'Brien, and then the kids of Knight and Clark, again maybe RNL who I hope can have a breakthrough season)

Attacking wise, likewise, I'd like to see Rose come through more but I do think we're a back up target man short if O'Grady is out.

Flitcroft said he wanted 20 senior professionals, and then the youngsters (RNL, Rose, Digby, etc)

We currently have 18 senior pros.

I expect us to sign 3 more players by the time the season starts - a CB, a RWB, a striker.

Expecting 6 signings is fantasy. Not just fantasy, but unnecessary too.

I don't think we are crap at all.........quite the opposite actually............what I'm saying here basically is that we need more height in the side .......plus..........we need cover and competition for places in the side because we don't want to end up limping towards the finishing line this season like we did last season because we hardly had any players left that were fit

Regarding the young uns.........it would be great if some of these broke through into the first team this season but we have to start the season on the assumption that they wont

We certainly don't need anther left back, we've got Golbourne and Kennedy.

    Out:
    Harewood
    Edwards
    Foster
    Delap

    In: Jennings

Tells you we need a centre half and a striker. Possibly another RWB although O'Brien can do a job there.

CB, RB/RWB/RM, CF. Whether that is 3 or 4 players but that is where we are light. Maybe Jones is gonna be used more. Can see us having a couple of loans later in the transfer window.

Bloody hell Nudger. You've really got the hang of this WUM'ing lark.
We need a new GK to push Steele and should get shut of Alnwick? T'other day you wanted it the other way around. Me, I'm satisfied with the cover we have for our top notch keeper.
You want two commanding centre halves despite one half of the greatest management team you've ever known saying we don't want/need one.
You think we need another left winger to push Jennings, preferably a youngster - we've got Reuben who is already more proven at this level so again you lose me there.
And now I see you bigging up Steve Morison. Have you seen much of Norwich and Leeds over the last year? I have, he's no better than Harewood.
But then, you haven't seen much of BFC this year so maybe you aren't a WUM and it's just that your opinions are based on not watching us.

    GK: Steele, Alnwick, Dibble

RB: Wiseman, Jones, Hassell, Cranie, O'Brien
    LB: Golbourne, Kennedy, McNulty, RNL

CB: Wiseman, Cranie, McNulty, Hassell, Kennedy

CM: Etuhu, Dawson, Perkins, Digby, Cranie, Hassell, McNulty
W/AM: Mellis, O'Brien, Jennings, Cywka, RNL, Clark, Knight

    CF: O'Grady, Dagnall, Scotland, Rose

You wouldn't expect all some players to play a full season on those positions, but we have a lot of flexibility. The two positions that stand out as neding a bit more are CB and up front.

Really can't see why 6 players are needed to add to a core of players than ran through brick walls and were one of the form teams of the division from January
