Absolute minimum requirement! I agree we need a centre-half - but doesn't seem to be AR's priority We really need at least 2 midfielders - we have only really got Devaney and Howard Another striker who ccan actually score goals now ..and that's not even thinking of our potential goalie situation. I would be looking for experience too as we have a lot of good young uns
Totally agree, I thought they would be announcing the new players today, but alas only the info on Coulson. I'm not one for panicking, but like Richie says after the win in Wales he want's to give the current squad a chance. All well and good, but as a fan who as supported them for over 20 years last seasons performances were pretty average, in a poor division. If we don't sign anyone before the season starts, and i think now this is more than likely, because he will bring Tong or Wroe into mid-field and give most of the squad a chance to prove themselves. We are looking at loan players up to Christmas. If by then we are at the foot of the division i think Gordon will get is thinking cap on and decide to splash out on some quality players. Unfortunately by then it maybe to late. We need three quality players now!!!

Its fookin difficult to get decent players to come to a club in the bottom 3.</p> I dearly hope that this is not a scenario we are looking at because if it is and there is no intention to improve the squad prior to August then we are doomed to fail.</p> I am usually optimistic but I'm afraid if anybody thinks the current squad has enough quality and strength in depth to reach a decent level of safety then they are deluded fools.</p> I for one will not be happy with a 4th from bottom struggle because that could so easily turn into 3rd from bottom. set your sights low and you deserve to finish low.</p> Now I'm not suggesting we break the bank nor anything near but we are likely to receive an extra 2 million this season and we should spend it to ensure that next seasons turn over is similar by remaining in the championship.</p>
