Why are you suprised? Not exactly signed a load of quality players added to the fact that the players we had last year are mostly shlte. I think we may indeed stay up but we have to be the neutrals favs to go down on form. Hth
Did I say I was surprised, Bob? Just updating the forum with regards to current odds. I made no personal comment. HTH you read better next time.
I've having a Yankee, Nottingham Forest 9/2 & Barnsley 66/1 & Crawly 11/2 To be Promoted, Charlton 7/1 to be Relegated 26k if it happens Also got £50 on Charlton to be relegated at 12/1
I am sure we were also one of the favourites to get relegated before the start of the 1996/97 season, no worries
So rich men at Forest, rich men at Leicester, rich men at Hull, rich men at Leeds... Somebody is going to miss out, and i wouldn't mind betting all 4 of them will be in the championship or lower come the end of the season. As for our odds... unfashionable town, finished just above drop zone, can't distinguish us from Burnley. Thats fine by me, extra motivation for fans, players and management to do what Barnsley do best and prove people wrong.
