Really need him back now on loan, get on that phone to Everton and beg them!!!

I'd be tempted to give TK a go at LWB as well!!

Selling him wasn't the issue........not replacing him with another wing back is a mistake........same with Golbourne.

Said it would come bak and bite them on the ass when it happened. They just saw the pound signs. everton or wigan would still have taken him at the end if the season . Held all the cards and blew it.

Learnt nothing from vaz taty and drinkwater episode.

We got three million pound in for him.
Rory Deplap's the replacement along with Wiseman or O'brien.

So we've replaced an 18 year old right wing back with a soon to be 37 year old who is slower than Hassell?

And there is no way on this earth that O'Brien is a RWB. Neither is Wiseman, as that position requires the ability to defend.

I disagree. We've done perfectly fine in keeping the wins coming without him and even Dawson. It's no coincidence our losses and leaky defence have come since Golbourne has been out. Maybe now he will be appreciated more when he's back next season (if someone doesn't bid for him).

Was madness letting him go without the loan being part of the deal!!

I said it was a poor deal at the time and nothing since has changed my mind. We didn't need to sell him so part of the deal should have been that he had to come back for the rest of the season.

You honestly think that would have stopped the deal? We'd have ended up with an unsettled player unhappy at not being allowed to join a much bigger team.

You've unintentionally hit the nail on the head there. It would indeed require Rory Delap and one of Wiseman or O'Brien to replace Stones. However, we are not allowed to field 12 players.

although not as good, wiseman is the obvious replacement for stones. Why he hasn't played there for last 2 games only flicker knowns.

agreed the loss of Golbourne has sent Flickers head in a spin and he doesn't seem to know what to do about it.

personally I would have risked a youth player there rather than someone who cant play it or making lots of changes

wheres that new lad play we got in january
