Is it my memory playing tricks on me or were Stoneacre, in conjuction with BFC, offering some kind of deals on cars to season ticket holders?
Speaking of this.... Can you remember giving BFC permission to sell your personal details to a third party for the purposes of marketing?
Yes, an they keep sending me junk mail. Suzuki my @rse. Their marketing department will be receiving a nice letter shortly.
This isn't the first time I've had problems relating to BFC & a third party. I'm a member of the Centenary Society & about 15 years ago, there was a flyer sent out with one of the mailings on behalf of a firm of financial advisors called Pearson Associates. I had no interest in it so it went straight in the bin. A few days later, the phone rang & it was someone from Pearson Associates saying that they'd got my number from BFC & were wanting to arrange an appointment with me. I refused & got onto the phone to BFC the next day to complain. They claimed that Pearson must have got my number from somewhere else. Thing is, I was living with my parents at the time & their number is ex directory. Looks like history could be repeating itself.
Same here Not interested in what they were offering, just suspicious of why they should now be mailshotting me. There could be a million & 1 reasons why, but given my past experience mentioned in 1 of my previous posts, I have a sneaky suspicion that someone needs reminding of their obligations under the Data Protection Act.
Can't remember what was on the season ticket form But there should at least have been a tick box to opt in or out of receiving mail shots. Don't recall seeing one
