http://beta.thesportbible.com/footb...rton-set-their-price-for-john-stones-20160526 Of course it's a media opinion with no way of knowing how right it is but that would be welcome for us if it's correct.... Hopefully help us either win league 1 next time round or consolidate in the championship should we go up on Sunday.
That's from the sport bible, I wouldn't take anything they say seriously without a credible source linked.

Personally I think Stones' value peaked at the start of the season through hype, although Everton would be loathe to accept less than the reported figures they rejected. He didn't pull up any trees this season really, although he was in a struggling side, anyone who bids for him are bidding for potential...he'll either be the next Pique, or the next Lescott.
I think that this is a done deal and the fee of £45 million will probably be about right, given that City, United and Barcelona are reportedly interested. Mourinho will want to get one over on Guardiola, so expect that it could go even higher. The quoted fee would give us a cut of £6.25, if the rumours are right. I would be trying with that to start by signing the best of our loanees, like Fletcher, Isgrove and Brownhill, whilst getting an extended contract for Hammill. it will all be so much easier if we do get into the championship.
Enough for three copies of the next issue of WSB for Benji, Paddy and Bazza to read in the boardroom.
He's still only 21 he's not been as good as he was 18 months ago but his potential is still plain to see. In a better team he can only improve and that's why the top teams in Europe want him.
city and united will be throwing daft money about this summer. pep vs jose, united vs city, recovering from being made to look daft by leicester. i think 40m is very realistic
Don't be daft. Everton won't entertain less than half that, remember how much money they have themselves, new tv deal and new owner considered.
Let's not, forget that transfer fees will be inflated by the extra money coming from the new TV contract next season.
