Phil Jones off injured, Stones still available at 10s on Coral to make the World Cup squad. Fill your booits.
Roy Hodgson is very keen. Might have a few bob. Suppose it isn't a bad bet really. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I've signed up and stuck a tenner on. £20 free bet on Sunderland, Motherwell and Celtic tomorrow night.
I hope he does go. I heard an interview with Roy & he said this team has spent 2 years going through qualifiers & that he's spent a lot of time with them & that he won't be easily influenced by recent form
Little piece in the Daily Mail on him too. Everton want to treble his wages through Star Management (his current bosses that his agent Georgina Lillis works for) but Stones contract with Star Management runs out later this year and a rival company want to sign him up. Also that Chelsea are bidding 12 million for him.
Roy Hogdson said the other day that there wouldn't be any surprises in the World Cup squad and he's known for a while who would be going, fitness permitting. Harsh on Jones if he misses it through injury but to be honest, if he wasn't playing for a club like Man Utd, he wouldn't be anywhere near the England squad, promising youngster who hasn't really got any better, nowhere near as good as someone like John Terry at the same age. Stones definitely has to go at the expense of either Jones or Smalling, not just saying that because he's a former tarn player and tarn lad, he's simply better than both of them at this moment in time and has had a much better season. I've watched Everton more than I normally would over the last few months and with his style of play from the back I actually think he'd make a good holding midfield player, he comes forward with the ball well and can't half ping a precise pass out wide.
You'd think an experienced man like Hodgson wouldn't be so naive - there are many players who've had one or two good seasons in a fifteen year career. Surely you take the best 23 players at the particular time, even if that means 6 or 7 players are different from the last competitive game.
