Stones not expected to be involved for Everton today...

...I know he's only just signed but they have two right backs injured - surely if he's not going to get a game today then when is he realistically going to play?

It's not like throwing a kid in, he's been playing week in week out in the Championship.

Just bothers me that he's one of the best young players in England and could go on to great things but if he doesn't play first team football he's going to go the way of many others who've left Oakwell over the years and gone backwards in their careers.

Suppose I'm much more bothered about Stones doing well with him being a Barnsley lad.

 

I still think he will be back here soon.

 

Possibly...would have thought today would have been an ideal debut for him though, Everton at home against a struggling Villa side, would be a fairly straight forward introduction to the Premier League for him.

It's the BBC who are saying he isn't expected to be involved - journalism these days seems to mainly consist of people stating opinions as fact and making things up so he could well be in the starting line up.

 

be surprised if he even gets on the bench this season

and next season he will at best warm it.
