I was telling people on this forum over 12 months ago that John Stones would be a regular in the first team this season. I might be being smug but i am going to be proved right. So here goes for another prediction after watching him play through the academy for the past 6 years.... John Stones will move for in excess of £1million pounds before the start of next season. Long term i expect him to be a centre half when he grows into his body and develops his strength. Any disagreements ????

I predict he'll go for more than £100,000 at some point over the next 3 years.

Yes. If we sell him for £1m, someone wants shooting. He'll be worth £3-5m by the end of next season. He looks a complete class apart.

i predict somebody will predict something that may or may not come true, if it does come true they then will tell everyone about said prediction, if it doesnt it will be quietly forgotten, i also predict somebody bored at work will type something like this

I once predicted that Carl Barrowclough would emulate his old man. I also thought Vaz Te was a poor signing originally.
I'm terrible at this lark, should leave it to such as yourself.

To be fair, Hemsworth has been saying it long before anyone.

    And so did Mark Robins.

Considering how skilful he is with the ball, his ability to beat players and the way he can cross and shoot he'd be wasted at centre half. Attacking full back looks ideal for him.

He may well make a good CB, but what Jay says is right, cod be a fantastic right back defending & attacking! If we sell for less that 5 million we might as well fold...and I'm being deadly serious!!

I agree. The best young talent to come out of Oakwell since David Hirst.

Some of the stuff he did on Saturday was incredible for a kid in his first real season as a Championship player - no doubt all the scouts were creaming thersens.

He has played like that since he started at the academy. His confidence in his own ability is first class but he is no big time charlie. Stonsey and Diggers in Barnsleys team could be a real possibility before christmas

It's a shame they'll both be sold at the earliest opportunity. No slight on the club by the way - that's the way it is when you're skint. I hope he (they) goes (go) all the way and gives Barnsley - the town and the club - some credit when being interviewed after MOTM performances for Ingerland.

    8-10 million and no less

future premier league and england star. thee watch.

if we sold him for 1 million thats me done... but dont think that will happen. However, even 3 mill would be a travesty imho.

You should be a club scout with all your talent spotting ability! Don't know how you do it - I can't even cross the road safely.

Fair point 'thereev' so here's another for you smart arse!! If you watch the academy on a Saturday morning like i do then watch the under 16's and keep your eye on a lad called James Bree. He a better player than Stonsey and Diggers at that age !!!

Another one for you as well, watch out for a lad called George Smith who is a first year scholar. He plays at left back for the 18's. He gets forward and recovers all day with good stamina and speed. He is decent on the ball and like a tackle if needed. He is a bit naieve at defending from time to time but that is to be expected. If you want to see the future better than Doris Stokes then watch the academy. George Marris up front shows the makings of a good player too. Rhys Oates is a Craig Davies clone, big rough, strong, a real handful for any centre half.

Lifes full of opportunities if you just open your eyes and look beyond the next 3 points !! I am looking at potential sale opportunities (as much as that pains me to say it) to keep BFC a Championship clubfor years to come.
